Dental Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges restore damaged or missing teeth, helping you chew comfortably and smile with confidence. Crowns strengthen and protect weak teeth, while bridges fill gaps to prevent shifting. Both look natural, improve bite function, and support long-term oral health.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges are reliable solutions for restoring damaged or missing teeth and helping you regain your confident smile. A crown is a custom-made cap that fits over a weakened or broken tooth, protecting it while restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to nearby natural teeth or crowns.

Both crowns and bridges help improve chewing, speech, and overall oral health, while preventing neighboring teeth from shifting. Designed to look natural and feel comfortable, they’re a long-lasting way to rebuild your smile and protect your dental health.

At LuxeSmile Dentistry, we ensure your dental crowns and bridges blend in seamlessly with your existing teeth and will function like natural teeth. You can expect to make at least two visits when receiving dental crowns or bridges. We use the first visit to make impressions of your teeth and then send those impressions to a dental laboratory. Once the crown or bridge is ready, you can return to have it fitted and ensure it fits properly.

  • What is a dental crown?

A dental crown is a custom-made cap placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its strength, shape, and appearance. Crowns protect teeth that are cracked, worn down, or treated with a root canal, while helping you chew comfortably and smile confidently. Made from durable materials like porcelain or ceramic, crowns are designed to blend naturally with your surrounding teeth. With proper care, a dental crown can provide long-lasting protection and support for your overall oral health.

  • What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a custom-made restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It works by anchoring an artificial tooth to the natural teeth or dental implants on either side of the gap. Bridges restore your smile, improve chewing and speech, and help maintain proper bite alignment. By filling the space, a bridge also prevents nearby teeth from shifting out of place. The result is a natural-looking, comfortable solution that supports both oral health and everyday confidence.

  • How do temporary dental crowns work?

Temporary crowns are short-term caps placed over a tooth while a permanent crown is being made. After your tooth is shaped, the temporary crown protects it from sensitivity, damage, and shifting. It also helps you chew, speak, and smile comfortably between visits. These crowns are made from durable, lightweight materials and are custom-fitted the same day. While not as strong as permanent crowns, they play an important role in keeping your tooth healthy, comfortable, and positioned adequately until your final restoration is ready.
